Average Daily Traffic and toll revenue on motorway Katowice-Kraków in 2016Q1

In 2016Q1 the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) on the concession section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway amounted to 35,946 vehicles and was higher by 11.6% than the traffic level recorded in 2015Q1 (32,220 vehicles). In 2016Q1 toll revenue amounted to PLN 63,865 thousand and was higher by 20.3% than in 2015Q1 (PLN 53,109 thousand). Difference between dynamics of growth of toll revenue as compared to dynamics of growth of Average Daily Traffic is due to the change of toll rates since March 1, 2015.

As far as cars are concerned, the Average Daily Traffic increased from 26,834 vehicles in 2015Q1 to 30,054 vehicles in 2016Q1 (12.0% increase). In 2016Q1 toll revenue from cars amounted to PLN 43,890 thousand and was higher by 21.8% than in 2015Q1 (PLN 36,045 thousand).

As far as trucks are concerned, the Average Daily Traffic increased by approximately 9.4%, i.e. from 5,386 vehicles in 2015Q1 to 5,892 vehicles in 2016Q1. In 2016Q1 toll revenue from trucks amounted to PLN 19,975 thousand and was higher by 17.1% than in 2015Q1 (PLN 17,064 thousand).

Management Board believes that the positive trend in traffic growth is related to the developments in macroeconomic situation and is also the result of users’ appreciation of high standard of motorway.
