Average Daily Traffic and toll revenue on motorway Katowice-Kraków in 2018Q1

In 2018Q1 the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) on the concession section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway amounted to 40,850 vehicles and was higher by 5.3% than the traffic level recorded in the same period last year (38,810 vehicles). In 2018Q1 toll revenue amounted to PLN 74,921 thousand and was higher by 8.1% than in the same period last year (PLN 69,308 thousand).

As far as cars are concerned, the ADT increased from 32,276 vehicles in 2017Q1 to 34,006 vehicles in 2018Q1 (5.4% increase). In 2018Q1 toll revenue from cars amounted to PLN 48,958 thousand and was higher by 5.3% than in 2017Q1 (PLN 46,503 thousand).

As far as trucks are concerned, the ADT increased by 4.7%, i.e. from 6,534 vehicles in 2017Q1 to 6,844 vehicles in 2018Q1, while toll revenue from trucks in 2018Q1 amounted to PLN 25,963 thousand and was higher by 13.8% than in 2017Q1 (PLN 22,806 thousand). Difference between dynamics of growth of toll revenue as compared to dynamics of growth of Average Daily Traffic is due to the change of toll rates since March 1, 2017.

Management Board believes that the positive trend in traffic growth is related to the developments in macroeconomic situation and is also the result of users’ appreciation of high standard of motorway.
