Average Daily Traffic and toll revenue on motorway Katowice-Kraków in 2019H1

In 2019H1 the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) on the concession section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway amounted to 43,873 vehicles and was higher by 1.7% than the traffic level recorded in 2018H1 (43,145 vehicles). In 2019H1 toll revenue amounted to PLN 165,994 thousand and was higher by 5.0% than in 2018H1 (PLN 158,128 thousand).

 As far as cars are concerned, the ADT increased from 36,027 vehicles in 2018H1 to 36,638 vehicles in 2019H1 (1.7% increase). In 2019H1 toll revenue from cars amounted to PLN 105,783 thousand and was higher by 1.5% than in 2018H1 (PLN 104,244 thousand).

 As far as trucks are concerned, the ADT increased by 1.6%, i.e. from 7,118 vehicles in 2018H1 to 7,235 vehicles in 2019H1, while toll revenue from trucks in 2019H1 amounted to PLN 60,211 thousand and was higher by 11.7% than in 2018H1 (PLN 53,884 thousand). Difference between dynamics of growth of toll revenue as compared to dynamics of growth of Average Daily Traffic is due to the change of toll rates since March 1, 2019 (from PLN 18 to PLN 20 and from PLN 30 to PLN 35) and differences in vehicle category structure (depending on the category different toll rates are applicable).

 Management Board believes that the positive trend in traffic growth is related to the developments in macroeconomic situation and is also the result of users’ appreciation of high standard of motorway.
