Average Daily Traffic and toll revenue on motorway Katowice-Kraków in 2021H1

In 2021H1 the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) on the concession section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway amounted to 37,477 vehicles and was higher by 15.3% than the traffic level recorded  in 2020H1 (32,495 vehicles). In 2021H1 toll revenue amounted to PLN 156,822 thousand and was higher by 23.8% than in 2020H1 (PLN 126,703 thousand).

As far as cars are concerned, the ADT increased from 26,214 vehicles in 2020H1 to 30,079 vehicles in 2021H1 (14.7% increase). In 2021H1 toll revenue from cars amounted to PLN 94,593 thousand and was higher by 30.6% than in 2020H1 (PLN 72,452 thousand). Difference between dynamics of toll revenue changes as compared to dynamics of ADT changes is due to the change in the toll rate from October 1, 2020 (from PLN 10 to PLN 12 for the regular rate and from PLN 7 to PLN 8 for the preferential rate).

As far as trucks are concerned, the ADT increased by 17.8%, i.e. from 6,281 vehicles in 2020H1 to 7,398 vehicles in 2021H1, while toll revenue from trucks in 2021H1 amounted to PLN 62,230 thousand and was higher by 14.7% than in 2020H1 (PLN 54,251 thousand). Difference between dynamics of toll revenue changes as compared to dynamics of ADT changes is due to the changes in the vehicle category structure (depending on the category, different toll rates are applied).

The Group activity is affected by restrictions of social and economic activity due to the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and the number of COVID-19 cases.
