In 2021Q1-Q3 the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) on the concession section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway amounted to 42,841 vehicles and was higher by 14.6% than the traffic level recorded in the same period of last year (37,382 vehicles). In 2021Q1-Q3 toll revenue amounted to PLN 263,692 thousand and was higher by 23.9% than in the same period of last year (PLN 212,781 thousand).

As far as cars are concerned, the ADT increased from 30,825 vehicles in 2020Q1-Q3 to 35,243 vehicles in 2021Q1-Q3 (14.3% increase). In 2021Q1-Q3 toll revenue from cars amounted to PLN 167,854 thousand and was higher by 30.9% than in 2020Q1-Q3 (PLN 128,185 thousand). Difference between dynamics of toll revenue changes as compared to dynamics of ADT changes is due to the change in the toll rate from October 1, 2020 (from PLN 10 to PLN 12 for the regular rate and from PLN 7 to PLN 8 for the preferential rate).

As far as trucks are concerned, the ADT increased by 15.9%, i.e. from 6,557 vehicles in 2020Q1-Q3 to 7,597 vehicles in 2021Q1-Q3, while toll revenue from trucks in 2021Q1-Q3 amounted to PLN 95,838 thousand and was higher by 13.3% than in 2020Q1-Q3 (PLN 84,596 thousand). Difference between dynamics of toll revenue changes as compared to dynamics of ADT changes is due to the changes in the vehicle category structure (depending on the category, different toll rates are applied).

The Group activity is affected by restrictions of social and economic activity due to the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and the number of COVID-19 cases. It is worth mentioning that in the comparative period, i.e. 2020Q1-Q3, these restrictions were more severe. More information about this impact can be found in Company's special weekly current reports.
