Average Daily Traffic and toll revenue on motorway Katowice-Kraków in 2024

In 2024 the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) on the concession section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway amounted to 48,285 vehicles and was higher by 0.3% than the traffic level recorded in 2023 (48,150 vehicles). In 2024 toll revenue amounted to PLN 573,062 thousand and was higher by 13.8% than in 2023 (PLN 503,459 thousand).

As far as cars are concerned, the ADT increased from 40,085 vehicles in 2023 to 40,170 vehicles in 2024 (0.2% increase). In 2024 toll revenue from cars amounted to PLN 370,973 thousand and was higher by 16.2% than in 2023 (PLN 319,358 thousand). Difference between dynamics of toll revenue changes as compared to dynamics of ADT changes is the result of the change in toll rates on April 3rd, 2023 and April 1st, 2024 and also the abolishing, as of  January 16th, 2024, the preferential toll rate for vehicles other than motorcycles.

As far as trucks are concerned, the ADT increased by 0.6%, i.e. from 8,066 vehicles in 2023 to 8,115 vehicles in 2024, while toll revenue from trucks in 2024 amounted to PLN 202,089 thousand and was higher by 9.8% than in 2023 (PLN 184,101 thousand). Difference between dynamics of toll revenue changes as compared to dynamics of ADT changes is the result of increase in toll rates on April 3rd, 2023 and April 1st, 2024.
