Average Daily Traffic and toll revenue on motorway Katowice-Kraków in 2024H1

In 2024H1 the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) on the concession section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway amounted to 46,403 vehicles and was higher by 0.8% than the traffic level recorded in 2023H1 (46,055 vehicles). In 2024H1 toll revenue amounted to PLN 271,129 thousand and was higher by 17.5% than in 2023H1 (PLN 230,764 thousand).

As far as cars are concerned, the ADT increased from 37,957 vehicles in 2023H1 to 38,293 vehicles in 2024H1 (0.9% increase). In 2024H1 toll revenue from cars amounted to PLN 172,316 thousand and was higher by 20.9% than in 2023H1 (PLN 142,525 thousand). Difference between dynamics of toll revenue changes as compared to dynamics of ADT changes is the result of the change in toll rates on April 3rd, 2023 and April 1st, 2024 and also the abolishing, as of  January 16th, 2024, the preferential toll rate for vehicles other than motorcycles.

As far as trucks are concerned, the ADT increased by 0.2%, i.e. from 8,097 vehicles in 2023H1 to 8,110 vehicles in 2024H1, while toll revenue from trucks in 2024H1 amounted to PLN 98,812 thousand and was higher by 12% than in 2023H1 (PLN 88,240 thousand). Difference between dynamics of toll revenue changes as compared to dynamics of ADT changes is the result of increase in toll rates on April 3rd, 2023 and April 1st, 2024.
