Average Daily Traffic and toll revenue on motorway Katowice-Kraków in 2024Q1-Q3

In 2024Q1-Q3 the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) on the concession section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway amounted to 48,802 vehicles and was lower by 0.3% than the traffic level recorded in 2023Q1-Q3 (48,925 vehicles). In 2024Q1-Q3 toll revenue amounted to PLN 430,553 thousand and was higher by 14.2% than in 2023Q1-Q3 (PLN 376,900 thousand).

 As far as cars are concerned, the ADT decreased from 40,819 vehicles in 2023Q1-Q3 to 40,638 vehicles in 2024Q1-Q3 (0.4% decrease). In 2024Q1-Q3 toll revenue from cars amounted to PLN 279,287 thousand and was higher by 16.3% than in 2023Q1-Q3 (PLN 240,094 thousand). Difference between dynamics of toll revenue changes as compared to dynamics of ADT changes is the result of the change in toll rates on April 3rd, 2023 and April 1st, 2024 and also the abolishing, as of  January 16th, 2024, the preferential toll rate for vehicles other than motorcycles.

 As far as trucks are concerned, the ADT increased by 0.7%, i.e. from 8,106 vehicles in 2023Q1-Q3 to 8,165 vehicles in 2024Q1-Q3, while toll revenue from trucks in 2024Q1-Q3 amounted to PLN 151,267 thousand and was higher by 10.6% than in 2023Q1-Q3 (PLN 136,805 thousand). Difference between dynamics of toll revenue changes as compared to dynamics of ADT changes is the result of increase in toll rates on April 3rd, 2023 and April 1st, 2024.
