Average Daily Traffic and toll revenue on motorway Katowice-Kraków in 2024Q1

In 2024Q1 the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) on the concession section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway amounted to 44,248 vehicles and was higher by 0.8% than the traffic level recorded in 2023Q1 (43,905 vehicles). In 2024Q1 toll revenue amounted to PLN 125,586 thousand and was higher by 23.3% than in 2023Q1 (PLN 101,862 thousand). 

As far as cars are concerned, the ADT increased from 35,865 vehicles in 2023Q1 to 36,331 vehicles in 2024Q1 (1.3% increase). In 2024Q1 toll revenue from cars amounted to PLN 78,598 thousand and was higher by 29.4% than in 2023Q1 (PLN 60,728 thousand). Difference between dynamics of toll revenue changes as compared to dynamics of ADT changes is the result of the change in toll rates on April 3rd, 2023, and the abolishing, as of  January 16th, 2024, the preferential toll rate for vehicles other than motorcycles.

As far as trucks are concerned, the ADT decreased by 1.5%, i.e. from 8,040 vehicles in 2023Q1 to 7,917 vehicles in 2024Q1, while toll revenue from trucks in 2024Q1 amounted to PLN 46,987 thousand and was higher by 14.2% than in 2023Q1 (PLN 41,134 thousand). Difference between dynamics of toll revenue changes as compared to dynamics of ADT changes is the result of increase in toll rates on April 3rd, 2023.
