Average Daily Traffic and toll revenue on motorway Katowice-Kraków in 2015Q1

In 2015Q1 the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) on the concession section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway amounted to 32,220 vehicles and was higher by 5.9% than the traffic level recorded in 2014Q1 (30,428 vehicles). In 2015Q1 toll revenue amounted to PLN 53,109 thousand and was higher by 9.8% than in 2014Q1 (PLN 48,369 thousand). Difference between dynamics of growth of toll revenue as compared to dynamics of growth of Average Daily Traffic is due to the change of toll rates since March 1, 2015.

As far as cars are concerned, the Average Daily Traffic increased from 25,429 vehicles in 2014Q1 to 26,834 vehicles in 2015Q1 (a 5.5% increase). In 2015Q1 toll revenue from cars amounted to PLN 36,045 thousand and was higher by 9.1% than in 2014Q1 (PLN 33,025 thousand).

As far as trucks are concerned, the Average Daily Traffic increased by approximately 7.7%, i.e. from 4,999 vehicles in 2014Q1 to 5,386 vehicles in 2015Q1. In 2015Q1 toll revenue from trucks amounted to PLN 17,064 thousand and was higher by 11.2% than in 2014Q1 (PLN 15,343 thousand).

Management Board believes that the positive trend in traffic growth is related to the developments in macroeconomic situation and is also the result of users’ appreciation of high standard of motorway.
