Average Daily Traffic and toll revenue on motorway Katowice-Kraków in 2016H1

In 2016H1 the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) on the concession section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway amounted to 38,161 vehicles and was higher by 11.4% than the traffic level recorded in the same period last year (34,246 vehicles). In 2016H1 toll revenue amounted to PLN 135,383 thousand and was higher by 15.7% than in the same period last year (PLN 117,020 thousand). Difference between dynamics of growth of toll revenue as compared to dynamics of growth of Average Daily Traffic is due to the change of toll rates since March 1, 2015.

As far as cars are concerned, the Average Daily Traffic increased from 28,540 vehicles in 2015H1 to 31.774 vehicles in 2016H1 (11.3% increase). In 2016H1 toll revenue from cars amounted to PLN 92,627 thousand and was higher by 15.9% than in 2015H1 (PLN 79,927 thousand).

As far as trucks are concerned, the Average Daily Traffic increased by approximately 11.9%, i.e. from 5,706 vehicles in 2015H1 to 6,387 vehicles in 2016H1. While toll revenue from trucks in 2016H1 amounted to PLN 42,756 thousand and was higher by 15.3% than in 2015H1 (PLN 37,093 thousand).

Management Board believes that the positive trend in traffic growth is related to the developments in macroeconomic situation and is also the result of users’ appreciation of high standard of motorway.
