Average Daily Traffic and toll revenue on motorway Katowice-Kraków in 2019

In 2019 the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) on the concession section of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway amounted to 45,569 vehicles and was higher by 0.6% than the traffic level recorded  in 2018 (45,298 vehicles). In 2019 toll revenue amounted to PLN 347,424 thousand and was higher by 4.5% than  in 2018 (PLN 332,377 thousand).

 As far as cars are concerned, the ADT increased from 38,067 vehicles in 2018 to 38,349 vehicles in 2019 (0.7% increase). In 2019 toll revenue from cars amounted to PLN 223,462 thousand and was higher by 0.6% than in 2018 (PLN 222,051 thousand).

 As far as trucks are concerned, the ADT decreased by 0.2%, i.e. from 7,231 vehicles in 2018 to 7,220 vehicles in 2019, while toll revenue from trucks in 2019 amounted to PLN 123,962 thousand and was higher by 12.4% than in 2018 (PLN 110,327 thousand). Difference between dynamics of growth of toll revenue as compared to dynamics of growth of Average Daily Traffic is due to the change of toll rates since March 1, 2019 (from PLN 18 to PLN 20 and from PLN 30 to PLN 35) and differences in vehicle category structure (depending on the category different toll rates are applicable). 

In the opinion of the Management Board the achieved relatively low, despite the high standard of motorway maintenance, traffic growth is related to the development of the macroeconomic situation.
