Good results in the first quarter of 2017 in the Stalexport Autostrady Capital Group

The Stalexport Autostrady Capital Group achieved good results in the first quarter of this year.

Traffic on the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway along with sales revenue increased as compared to the same period of 2016. The net profit level was slightly lower than the one reached in the previous year.
In the first quarter of 2017, the sales revenue obtained by the Stalexport Autostrady Capital Group amounted to PLN 70.4 million. It was the result of the increase in the revenue generated from motorway operations related to the management and operation of the A4 motorway between Katowice and Kraków.
The average daily traffic was about 8% higher than the traffic measured in the same period of 2016 and it was nearly 39,000 vehicles. The increase concerned both cars (7.4%) and trucks (10.9%).
During the first quarter of 2017, the cost of sale of the Group increased up to PLN 10.5 million i.e. by 286.3% as compared to the first quarter of 2016 (PLN 2.7 million). This situation was greatly influenced by the increase in the cost of the provision on the road surface replacement amounting to PLN 6,900,000.
Taking the increase in the revenue and cost into account, the cumulative gross profit on sale in the first quarter of 2017 in the amount of PLN 59.8 million reached a slightly lower level (4% decrease) than in the first quarter of the previous year (PLN 62.3 million).
The Stalexport Autostrady Capital Group closed the first quarter of 2017 with a net profit in the amount of approx. PLN 39 million, i.e. lower by about 5.7% as compared to the first quarter of the previous year.
